T Shirt Designs

I like t shirts and i like making them (if that includes painting on them).
This is the first time im working with screen printers apart from whatever i learned and forgot in Bible college.
The designs are for the Lounge Piranha - Going Nowhere album. Check them out http://www.loungepiranha.com/
ps - Apparenty Lounge Piranha is really cool except for one really cheeky guy called Tron.

Bon South - South Indian Fine Dine Restaurant

For this particular project George,Pervez and i worked together. The theme was "South India " and the restaurant was to be a gallery of contemporary art. After long discussions of what "contemporary" art is and using google as a threat we satisfied the emperor.

I mostly contributed with photography, running around for production, making a south indian temple influenced coconut pillar with rajasthani craftsmen and these yakshagana masks of Vali, with tamil craftsmen. We first wanted to fill up a wall with a million kathakali masks but Vali proved to be more interesting and realistic. I had also come up with a metal Boat skeleton buffet table - an idea that i am particularly proud of but Alas! it was not used.... *sigh*

Popsies Restaurant

Popsies is a chinese restaurant in koramangala,Bangalore,India. The Owner Philip wanted to break away from the chinese theme interiors, he also happened to really like my work (tribal/abstract) so we filled the restaurant with it.All the tables were first primed and then i painted them and then we framed them with 40mm glass. The idea was to have the experience of eating off a painting on a table. It worked really well.We also framed smaller paintings and hung them on the walls. This added to the concept and brought the place together.
